At a certain point in life, many people are looking for volunteer work to give back to their communities. We might be slightly biased, but we think volunteering to care for a child is one of the most rewarding things you could ever do.

Our carers are all volunteers, and without them we couldn’t do the valuable work we do.

So, if you are thinking of volunteering, there are a couple of simple, straightforward things you will need to do:

1. Register your interest either through our website or by calling us to talk about your skills; and
2. Pop into Service Tasmania and make an application for ‘Working With Children’ check. (These checks are essential if you are working with vulnerable children and young people).
